Posted by on Elyse makes a very good point on her blog today. It is never too early to put in writing your wishes for what happens if you get sick, for what happens when you pass away. It’s a difficult thing for many of us to think about, but as Elyse points out, it’s not just about you, it’s also about alleviating some of the pressure and stress for your family and friends.
I am now at the age where I have more and more family and friends who are going through end of life decisions involving their loved ones. It is pretty much at the top of the list for the most challenging thing we have to deal with in our lives. I hope to come up with a way to keep my own kids from having to deal with those decisions as I age. A part of the solution is pretty simple … put it in writing.
