Toasted Cheese (For the Writer in each of you)

Toasted cheese is one of the most incredible culinary creations.  It can be comfort food that takes you back to your childhood.  It can also be gourmet with all sorts of bread choices, cheese choices, and added frills.

What Toasted Cheese can also be is one of the best writing websites out there.  If you haven’t checked it out.  You should.  It’s here.  If you’re a writer, you should consider contributing to their Writing Spaces feature.  Every Friday, Toasted Cheese posts a picture of a writer’s writing space with a few paragraphs of the writer describing the space and its meaning.  Here’s the last one.  Take a picture of your writing space, send it in, share a little of that quiet, creative space you do your magic in.

Another thing Toasted Cheese does is writing contests.  Four each year.  The winners are published in Toasted Cheese’s quarterly on-line literary magazine.  As far as I’m concerned, Toasted Cheese is the gold standard for such things.  This coming weekend will be their Spring Contest.  Three Cheers and A Tiger.  The contest requires you to write a story in 48 hours.  The required theme and word count will be posted Friday afternoon, with the story submitted by Sunday afternoon.  Check it out, write, and submit.

And once you’re done with all of that, check out their forums for writing topics, critique opportunities, and just about anything else you can imagine in an on-line community.

No problem. TC is my writing home away from home. Hope it helps generate some new viewers, readers, and activity.
