KingMidget's Ramblings

Pull up a chair. Let's talk.

Why Not Sunday

Well, because it’s the eve of the work week.  It’s the day when you have to slow down and get ready for Monday.  Laundry gets done (at least in my castle).  The kids scurry to finish their homework that’s due on Monday.  Maybe some cleaning and getting groceries for the week.  You go to bed a little early.  You cannot be carefree on a Sunday because you know what’s coming.

For the religious among us, church Sunday morning may be a big deal.  For the NFLers among us, a day of football may be a big deal.  These can all be reasons that make Sunday special.  But a lifetime of Sundays?  Ummm … no.

There comes a point on Sunday, when it becomes a quasi-work day.  How much time do you spend on Sunday wishing the next day wasn’t Monday or that this, this time, it’s one of those glorious three day weekends.

That’s why not Sunday.

I dislike Sundays…I want to go back to yesterday! That reminds me I too have to finish my laundry…it’s still in the dryer. ~Gina

Isn’t that the worst? It’s bad enough that you have to do the laundry but the buzzer from the damn dryer owns you.
